The word Burj Khalifa, factually means Khalifa Tower and it was formerly known as Burj Dubai or Dubai Tower, which was later changed to Burj Khalifa when the tower was officially opened on January 4th, 2010. Khalifa is coined out from the name of Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Maktoum, who is president of United Arab Emirates.
